CP English 10: Semester Final Exam


For this exam, you will demonstrate your skills in the area of reading/literacy and your skills in the area of writing.

This final exam consists of several essay questions/prompts which will ask you to reflect upon and write about the literary works we encountered this semester: The Tragedy of Macbeth by Shakespeare, Night by Wiesel and Selections from House on Mango Street by Cisneros. You will select one of the prompts and then complete the full writing process (brainstorm, rough draft, edit and final draft).

To prepare for this exam, you should complete your semester portfolio project which will help you reflect on each unit and review the five paragraph argument structure.

Bring the following to the exam:

  • pen or pencil
  • semester portfolio
  • a good attitude and a willingness to dazzle me with your brilliance
