  • Then put all of these multi-genre items in the following order:
    • cover sheet/title page
    • dear reader letter
    • ten (or more) genres (placed in a specific and precise order that is intentional and has a clear beginning, middle and end.
    • end-notes/bibliography page

Writing Workshop: Multi-Genre Papers

In-Class:

  • Peer writing conferences:
    • read rough drafts
    • use sticky notes to add comments to rough drafts- tell the writer where you, as a reader, got lost and where you need more detail and depth
    • score rough drafts using the multi-genre paper scoring rubric.
  • With peer comments and rubric score as a guide, begin work on final draft.
  • Prepare to continue work on your multi-genre paper at home - via flash drive or Google-Docs. Tomorrow you will have one last day to work on this in class. Your final draft is due to your digital portfolio at www.turnitin.com before 11:59pm Tuesday, 2/14/12.
