March Nature Journal

Focus Point:  What indications of the coming spring can you find? Sketch and journal the results of your hunt for spring. Details in your sketch and written description of the "being" should indicate: color, size, texture, specific location and diversity (common or uncommon).

Reflection

Thoreau went to the woods by Walden Pond to learn about nature and himself. He observed nature and reflected on what it had to teach him about life and his place in the universe.

Click here and take a look at Thoreau's Walden pond and woods in March. In one or two paragraphs, explore the following:

How is Walden pond (and the woods around it) similar to the woods and pond behind LHS?

How is it different?

What does spring tell us about life?
